Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Cookies
Serves: 3-4 dozen 2" cookies
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
- Sea Salt flakes, optional
- Heat oven to 350 degrees and line a couple of cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda and cocoa powder.
- Cream the butter and sugars together, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in the dry ingredients. This will make a very stiff dough.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Lightly roll spoonsfull of the dough between your hands and place on cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes for a chewy cookie, up to 12 minutes for a crunchy one.
